About Iron County Criminal History

Iron County criminal records are split among the Sheriff, courts in Cedar City, the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Identification, Utah corrections, and the Utah Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry. The right custodian depends on whether someone needs a police report, booking entry, court outcome, personal statewide history, or current custody status. We built this private resource to make those official routes easier to identify and compare.

Why We Built This Site

Utah provides several official ways to reach criminal record information, but no single source holds every part. Iron County corrections maintains jail and booking data. The filing court keeps charges, dockets, judgments, and dispositions. The Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Identification maintains fingerprint-linked state histories and provides a subject Right of Access process rather than an unrestricted public name search. Utah Department of Corrections and the Utah Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry serve still different purposes. We organize the official contacts, request paths, search tools, and researched fees that help readers choose the proper custodian.

What You Will Find Here

  • Official check instructions: how fingerprint-based self-review works through Utah BCI
  • Agency contacts: where to reach the Iron County Sheriff, the local courts, and state record systems
  • Record guides: how criminal court cases are found and read in Iron County
  • Record cleanup information: how Utah expungement works and which court receives a petition

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference resource, not part of Iron County, a Utah court, a law-enforcement agency, or a state office. Those boundaries mean:

  • We cannot provide legal advice about a charge, warrant, case, or expungement
  • We cannot issue a certified court record, rap sheet, booking file, or police report
  • We cannot submit GRAMA requests, court forms, or expungement petitions for a visitor
  • We cannot obtain an official criminal history for someone
  • We cannot promise that an agency address, fee, phone number, or process has not changed

An official copy must come from the Iron County Sheriff, the filing court, Utah BCI, or the other government office that maintains the original record.

Search Partners

Outside providers power search boxes on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, and prices. If a visitor follows a tool into a paid service, we may receive a referral fee that supports free access to this resource. We do not set partner charges and cannot control the completeness or accuracy of their results.
