Terms of Use

These conditions govern all use of Iron County Criminal History. Reading a page, submitting a search, or otherwise using the service signifies acceptance. Do not continue if you disagree with these terms.

NO FCRA USE. Iron County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This resource points to criminal-record channels in Iron County, Utah. It is neither a private investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference resource operates independently of government. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, conducts official checks, or submits forms for a visitor.

Its function is to identify record custodians such as the Iron County Sheriff, Utah courts, the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Identification, and the Utah Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool may not be used to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct can be criminal. Utah Code Title 77, Chapter 41 places special restrictions on misuse of Utah Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry data. Registry information exists for safety awareness, not vigilantism, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, background checks, or other consumer reports. Our advertising partners do not offer the linked tools for judging credit, insurance, rental applications, or job applicants. You must not use site or linked-tool data to:

  • Make any other decision governed by the FCRA
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Set an insurance rate or assess creditworthiness
  • Evaluate a housing or rental applicant
  • Make a hiring or firing decision

A check for a regulated purpose must come through an authorized Utah process or an FCRA-compliant screening company, as the law requires. Utah Code §53-10-108 controls BCI criminal-history dissemination.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of Iron County records cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement law affects one person. Seek advice from a Utah-licensed lawyer.

6. No Warranties

The service is supplied "as is." We make no guarantee that:

  • A partner search result will be complete or correct

Charges can be filed or dismissed, and records can be changed, sealed, or expunged. Gaps and lag can occur. No content here is an official statement from the Iron County Sheriff, a court, Utah BCI, or any other government office.

11. Governing Law

Utah law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the service must be brought in a court located in Utah. Government record access remains governed by GRAMA, Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2, where that law applies to the government custodian.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A new version takes effect when posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be changed only as far as needed for enforcement.
